MATRIC Announces New Employees to Start in January

Charleston, W.Va. Representatives of MATRIC (Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research and Innovation Center) recently announced it has hired three new full-time employees. According to MATRIC President and CEO Keith Pauley, the new employees are Duane Dombek, Jason Cooper and Nye Clinton.
“We are honored to have such successful and experienced professionals working with us,” Pauley said. “With these talented additions to our staff, MATRIC can only grow to become a more successful corporation.”
Duane Dombek has more than 25 years of experience in industrial research, project management, technical leadership and technical writing. Formerly he was a Management Leader at Dow Chemical Company and Senior Research Scientist and Group Leader at Union Carbide Corporation, South Charleston. Dombek received his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry at Iowa State University and his Post-Doctoral Fellowship also at Iowa State University.
Jason Cooper has more than eight years of industry experience. Cooper has earned his Master of Science in Computer Science at West Virginia University (WVU) and will receive his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University in 2005. Cooper’s experience includes Senior Systems Engineer at Titan Systems Corporation, Software Engineer at Strictly Business Computer Systems, and Instructor in Computer Science Department at Durham Academy in North Carolina.
Nye Clinton also joins MATRIC with 30 years of industrial experience. Clinton has earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts as well as his NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship at Indiana University. Clinton’s industrial experience at Union Carbide includes Technology Manager of Glycol Ethers, Technology Manager of UCON Fluids, and Technology Manager of Amerchol.
MATRIC, currently located at 1116 Smith Street in Charleston, collaborates with universities and colleges in the State and utilizes employees primarily from the wealth of retired technical talent residing in the Kanawha Valley.
