The Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research and Innovation Center, also known as MATRIC, announced that it has been selected to work with the Titan Corp. on a $200 million NASA contract.
"We are part of the Titan Corp.'s team as a subcontractor and we are excited to begin working on this project," MATRIC President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Pauley said in a prepared statement.
The five-year contract calls for MATRIC to provide assurance for all of NASA's mission-critical software, Pauley said. The work will be performed at NASA's center in Fairmont, he said.
Other project subcontractors are Galaxy Global Corp., GeoControl Systems Inc., Global Science & Technology Inc., the Institute for Scientific Research Inc., ProLogic Inc., TMC Technologies Inc. and Westar ELMCO.
MATRIC is a nonprofit research and development corporation modeled after North Carolina's Research Triangle Institute. MATRIC was established in August 2003. The corporation is headquartered in Building 701 at Dow Chemical's South Charleston Technology Park.
