Medical Coverage
MATRIC offers our employees a PPO plan through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Employees covered under the PPO plan may elect to see any doctor in the provider network and pay only a co-pay. They may elect to see a doctor who is not in the provider network for an additional cost. The health plan becomes effective the first of the month following the date of employment.
Vision Coverage
Employees enrolled in the medical coverage plan also receive vision coverage. The plan pays set amounts for routine eye care, including in-depth eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Dental Coverage
Employees of MATRIC are eligible to be covered under our dental plan. The plan is a PPO through the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Employees may select a dentist within the provider network. The plan pays for a substantial part of major dental treatment and regular, preventive dental care services (up to $1,500 per year). Employees become eligible for coverage effective the first of the month following the date of employment.
Life Insurance / Accidental Death & Dismemberment
MATRIC provides life and AD&D coverage through MetLife at a rate of one and one-half annual salary (max $250,000). As required by law, premiums for coverage above $50,000 are reported on the employee's W-2 form as taxable income.
Short-Term Disability
MATRIC provides short-term disability coverage through MetLife that begins after seven calendar days for both accident and illness. Coverage provides two-thirds of average weekly wage for a maximum of ninety calendar days ($4,000 per week limit).
Long-Term Disability
MATRIC provides long-term disability coverage through MetLife that begins after ninety calendar days for both accident and illness. Coverage provides two-thirds of average weekly wage for a maximum of ninety calendar days ($4,000 per week limit).
Vacation
MATRIC offers exempt employees paid vacation up to 15 days per year, depending on position and time of service. Non-exempt employees begin with 10 days per year and earn an additional day per year of service (to a maximum of 15 days).
Holidays
MATRIC offers 10 paid holidays per year: New Year’s Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, two days each at Thanksgiving and Christmas, plus a floating holiday at company discretion.
Sick Leave
MATRIC provides five (5) days of sick pay per year, to be used when personal illness prevents an employee from reporting to work or in limited circumstances when immediate family members are ill.
403(b) Saving Plan
MATRIC offers our employees a 403(b) plan through TIAA-CREF to facilitate saving by setting aside money for retirement on a pretax basis. Employees may enroll immediately with no waiting period. The deferral limit is set by the IRS ($16,500 for 2009). MATRIC also provides a partial match for these contributions.
Tuition Reimbursement
MATRIC employees are eligible for reimbursement of costs for tuition and fees for approved job-related courses successfully completed.
