9/26/2008 - NGInnovations Develops Unit to Treat Water From Gas Wells, The State Journal, Author Pam Kasey
ROANOKE - A new water treatment system from NGlnnovations of South Charleston may help reduce the significant cost of handling polluted water from natural gas wells.
The company unveiled its NGPure system Sept. 17 at the annual meeting of the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association at Stonewall Resort.
"We asked you, as owners ... what you would like for us to provide to the industry," said Donald W. Booth, president of NGI, one of the family of companies partnering with the Mid-Atlantic Technology Research and Innovation Center, or MATRIC.
"The same answer came back," Booth said: " 'Water. We have problems with water. Not only water supply but in cleaning the water and the disposal ...

2/15/2007 - NG-Innovations, LLC and MATRIC Create Natural Gas Purification Partnership
NG-Innovations, LLC and MATRIC have developed a strategic alliance which will manufacture, market and service natural gas purfication systems at the well-head. MATRIC will be the exclusive research, development and engineering provider to NGI in this long-term arrangement.
NG-Innovations will utilize MATRIC-designed chemical systems called NGPure® Systems, which removes water, heavy hydrocarbons, sulfur, carbon dioxide and nitrogen in configurable units. The NGPure® Systems are located at or near natural gas well-heads and allow producers to meet distributor specifications for impurities.
Impurities in natural gas streams cause significant damage to gathering and distributions pipelines, valves and compressor stations through corrosion, water hammer and fouling. Failures in this equipment cause loss of revenue due to leaks, which often occur in remote locations, and subsequent excess costs for inspection and maintenance.
In addition to state-of-the-art chemical processing technology, MATRIC and NGI have also added the NG-Telemetric System, which communicates flow and system performance data via satellite to the well owner in the form of web sites and/or email. This allows for more efficient well-tending by focusing scarce maintenance resources only on wells that have exhibited off-nominal characteristics.
As a new company, NG-Innovations, LLC is seeking investment funding to expand manufacturing and sales capacity. For more
