NGPure Water Separation Solution

An NGPure Water Separation Solution The NGPure Water Separation Solution provides a customizable desalination and water separation unit system that reduces the chlorides/salt and other content of produced water from natural gas well; or other water containments associated with natural gas production and exploration. While every water situation is unique, the NGPure Water Separation Solution can tackle natural gas producers’ toughest problems and reduce the dissolved contents of produced water, frac water or frac flowback water.

The NGPure Water Separation Solution is small, easily deployed, economical and can be equipped to almost any natural gas producer’s needs.

The NGPure Water Separation Solution utilizes unique filtering systems including pre-filters of different functions and specially designed filtration modules that remove remaining salts and other contents, including heavy metals, from natural gas well water. The output can be released to the environment, reused for additional drilling, or used for other purposes.

The benefits the NGPure Water Separation Solution to a natural gas producer are many. They include:

  • The Solution provides treated water to with chlorides/salt and other content levels which are low enough that the water may be able to be released to the environment.
  • The amount of new water required to drill new wells can be significantly reduced by using recycled frac water from the same area. This also reduces the amount of water removed from the site.
  • Use of the NGPure Water Solution can significantly reduce the costs required for and need for water injection disposal and transportation of water.
  • The Solution can enable the re-establishment of the existing aquifer water levels or area stream augmentation for clean water addition quality.

The features which enable these benefits are as follows:

  • The Solution can be made portable, so it can quickly moved from location to location;
  • It is easily maintained. Elements can be quickly changed and serviced while operations continue to produce water with no loss in water treatment and natural gas production time.
  • The NGPure Water Separation Solution requires minimal training for field personnel.
  • It is a low cost solution for the natural gas operator.
  • The Solution reduces the amount of contaminated water being hauled great distances to injection wells.

While every water situation is unique, NGInnovations can tackle producers’ toughest problems and reduce the dissolved contents of water in almost any situation. Recent treatment successes include:

NGPure Water Recovery Solution

The NGPure Water Recovery Solution is designed specifically to manage frac water or frac flowback water that is high in total dissolved solids (tds) and that may contain frac fluids/surfactants. In addition, it can be used in those situations where produced water has a very high tds level. The Solution collects surfactants; permeated Water for drilling, fracturing or permitted discharge; solid Salt or, if desired, a heavy concentrate brine. This Solution has the added benefit of having zero air discharge which would eliminate the need for an air discharge permit.

The NGPure Water Recovery Solution works in multiple phases. First, fracturing additives and hydrocarbons are separated from the frac water through a pre-treatment process. These items are placed into a holding tank. Brine water passed through a filtration system removing any additional solids and hydrocarbon droplets that may remain in the brine. The brine solution then passes through a process prior to entering the recovery unit for the removal of the salts. At this point, the Recovery Solution can operate in two modes – either to discharge treated water and a solid precipitant or treated water and concentrated brine.

Like the NGPure Water Separation Solution, the NGPure Water Recovery Solution can be tailored to the size needed by the natural gas player and is portable and cost effective due to its unique design.

The ability to remove frac additives and treat very high tds waters makes the NGPure Water Recovery Solution the perfect solution to natural gas players dealing with high volumes of frac and frac flowback water in shale gas plays such as the Marcellus Shale.
