Dr. Ramona Neal is a highly experienced analytical chemist with expertise using a broad spectrum of analytical methods for the chemical and physical characterization of materials. She has demonstrated capacity for developing novel, or optimizing standardized, analytical methods for implementation at research and development laboratories as well as production facilities. Before joining MATRIC, Dr. Neal served as a Business Analytical Specialist for Union Carbide Corporation, where she was responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists to develop and implement novel polymer characterization methods to address commercial opportunities. She also implemented solutions for specific production problems using the appropriate analytical skill center (NMR, Vibrational Spectroscopy, Liquid and Gas Chromatography). As an early MATRIC employee, Dr. Neal has been a key figure in the development of our analytical capabilities, and she has been an invaluable contributor to many of our laboratory projects. She has an MS and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Paris, France, where her thesis research involved protein and polymer analysis by HPLC. Dr. Neal also carried out post-doctoral research at the University of Delaware and the University of Tennessee.
