William Lutz brings an exceptional breadth of experience in chemical process safety, having worked with American Cyanamid, Stauffer Chemical, Union Carbide, and Dow Chemical in process safety and hazard analysis. He has provided leadership and training in such techniques as Hazard and Operability studies, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, What-if Checklist Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Reliability Analysis, and Six Sigma Blackbelt work processes. He developed Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) methods and performed numerous QRA’s aimed at determining cost effective process design and control strategies for preventing loss of process containment scenarios (fire explosion and toxic release). Mr Lutz received a BS in Chemistry from Pennsylvania State University and an AAS in Fire Science and Safety Technology from West Virginia University, Parkersburg.
