Mark Nunley has served as Project Manager, Production Engineer, and Improvement Engineer with Union Carbide and Dow Chemical. Before joining MATRIC, he worked filled these roles at the Union Carbide/Dow Chemical production sites in South Charleston and Institute, WV and Midland, MI. He has experience in leading and managing projects as the responsible technical leader as well as manufacturing and construction representative for many types of projects in areas of safety, capacity, operability, and reliability. His responsibilities have included project scope, costs, timing, performance, project documentation, training, reporting, economic analysis, authorizations, and closure. Mr. Nunley is experienced with process troubleshooting and safety analysis using multiple identification methods such as RCI, FMEA, fault tree analysis, layers of protection analysis and Six Sigma. He has also improved facility automation through design of equipment, design of process logic and controls, writing and debugging process computer code, training of technical staff and operators, and functional testing. Mr Nunley has a BS in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology and an MS in Engineering from Marshall University Graduate College.
Mr. Nunley is the Executive Director of the National Institute of Chemical Studies, a MATRIC subsidiary.
