Mr. Marty Weirick has more than 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, with Union Carbide and Dow Chemical. He has provided process engineering support for gas-phase polyolefins technology, including solids processing and gas purification. As the process engineering lead for a water-soluble polymer business, he led the process design of a pilot plant, including the layout, equipment specification, pressure relief design, drawing review, and startup assistance. He also provided process engineering for plant operational safety analysis, emissions reduction, permitting, reactor technology development, and operational improvement. Mr. Weirick later provided technical and safety leadership for multiple water-soluble polymer businesses, including pilot plant and manufacturing units. He has led the process design of major capital projects with an emphasis on solids processing, including combustible dust safety, drying, pneumatic and mechanical conveying, storage, and dust collector design. He also has extensive experience in process hazard and risk mitigation analyses. Mr. Weirick is a Six Sigma Certified Black Belt. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
