A variety of services and amenities are available to tenants at the South Charleston Technology Park. Free parking is provided to tenants, grounds and janitorial services are included, and access is provided to conference rooms and an auditorium. In addition, services such as lab and office maintenance, catering, and telecommunications services are available through established arrangements. Tenants receive free publicity through advertising published by the Technology Park.

Another benefit is the opportunity to interact with other educational and technical organizations located at the site. Other significant services, including security, emergency response, and waste disposal are described more fully below.

Buildings on the site of the South Charleston Technology Park are secured by electronic door locks that require a tenant's or visitor's badge for access. The lower part of the campus is normally open for admission. The upper campus, housing the Dow Chemical operations, is a controlled-access area secured by a perimeter fence and entrance gates. Visitors should communicate with their tenant host prior to arrival to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for their visit.

Appropriate actions in the event of an emergency are described in the Technology Park Emergency Response Plan. The plan is compatible with all local and state plans and is designed to protect the safety of site tenants and those in the community as well as to minimize environmental and property damage.

Alarm boxes are positioned throughout all of the buildings on the site, and the alarm should be actuated for assistance in an emergency. The site Emergency Squad will respond to all emergency alarms.

Shelter-in-place procedures and equipment are in place for each building, as described in the Plan.

Chemical wastes generated by tenants of the Technology Park must be handled in accordance with regulatory waste requirements. The Environmental Operations Central Waste Team offers a waste disposal service and has developed a procedure to be used by tenants participating in this service.
