Michael B. Boyd, MS

Mr. Boyd joined AVN in 2009 and serves as AVN’s HSES Leader, providing leadership for safety and security efforts including compliance, training, audits and reporting.

During his 20+ years with Union Carbide / Dow Chemical, he developed and implemented integrated EH&S policies and programs; served as one of two Root Cause Analysis facilitators for significant, sensitive or confidential events; performed HSE audits in manufacturing and laboratory facilities; provided safety training to chemists, engineers and technicians; and, served as the primary subject matter expert for regulatory interpretations.
